Hello. I have recently purchased a 91 Camaro RS. And a friend of mine has a 99 Camaro that has everything but the body from the front clip. The 91 Camaro Needs alot of work, like tranny, entire exhaust, intieror (SP?), some engine work, sensors..... You get the idea. I can get this 99 Camaro for $250. What I want to do is swap the whole drive train, and do a 4 wheel disc brake conv. and swap the intieror. I know I need the Computer and harness to make it work. I have the whole car to strip. What mods do I need to do to make everything fit. Do I need anything Machined. And the 3.1 to 3.8 would be a considerable gain in power especially that the 3.8 has a more constant TQ band. I was considering turbocharging or supercharging but thats down the road. And I do all of my own work. I don't take my car to a garage and let the rape me on cost. Oh and I know my way around these cars. Its been awhile since I have posted on the board because I was camaroless.

do a search on this, it was attempted once before and did not work out after a couple of years of work. its more of a PITA than it is to swap a 350 or anything else. there is a problem IIRC with the VATS system wiring into the ignition and you have to swap the dash out of it too unless you really want to mess with all the wiring headaches of trying to figure out how to convert from the old system to the newer stuff. Project85 attempted this, didnt turn out as well as he wanted it to

If you have everything then swap the entire dash/wiring and the steering column... VATS problem fixed.

I've got my dash in, wiring done (minus doors) ... just gotta have some power steering lines made and do something about hte fuel pump...couple grounds... close to being able to crank it.
