Sorry if this is a stupid question..But recently I installed a CAI with dual air filters. Did it with the Y-pipe one with the long pipe to the old one but with new filter and other just the air filter..yadda yadda. So it worked great...for a day lol. Day two I was driving my car randomly stalled, started back up, stalled. So I told a friend that helped me and he said probably the sensor, so we drilled the sensor in..still the same problem. So now we're guessing that the engine is getting too much air and having an unbalanced air fuel ratio, Does this sound correct? Should I just go down to one air filter? Thanks so much!!!

 

Why dont you change to the stock 2.8l Intake setup? I bet your new one dont pull air from out side the engine bay so its not a true CAI like the stock setup. I dont say this to bash but more to help people realise that they dont have to spend money on a "CAI" when the stock setup flows more than even a Wild build of these engines needs.

Beyond that no it wont the Throttle body is what meters the air not the Intake.

 

O ok thanks for your reply. Im gonna look it over more today, but the day it was working the power difference was like unreal. If only it stayed that way.. lol

 

I agree Xplane. I gutted my stock setup when I put the 3.4 in and man it breathes better. And I have noticed better gas mileage.
