put new puter and timing set in . set timing set secondary timing at 10 and it wont take any throttle at all. i can set timing about 30 to 35 and it runs great . except for a little valve chatter . some one please help me find problem

 

You replaced your timing chain and it's off that much?

Are you SURE that you are not a tooth off on your timing chain set up? Something is a tooth off somewhere. Your balancer and your cam are not in agreement I think.

I hope I'm wrong... I have no other explanation for your timing being so far off to run right...

 

did you unplug the ecm when you set the timing? also there is a relearn period for the ecm. that can some times take days to be compatable with new characteistics

 

hey did not know that it could take a little while did unplug static wire . replaced puter , did not replace chip . have great compression . i will take battery off today and let set till tomorrow and plug back up thanks for info you guys are great . need all info i can get thanks again terry

according to my marks im dead on , on the timing marks both in line with each other. will check again . thank you for info . terry
