EGR Solenoid

I got one from the junkyard and cut the wires. To splice my new one to my car do I need the same gauge wire or can I use any kind?

There wasn't a plug? I don't know the 2.8 as well as a 3.1, and there is on a 3.1 ;p

I couldn't find the plug the junkyard. It felt like it goes behind the motor but once I got home I found out that the plug is underneath some junction of wiring. So yes I could have pulled a plug to get it out but I was retarded at that moment.
