Ya don't need it. They are nice when kept nice but once they start to collect nasty underhood gasses n dirt they are a fire hazzard. plus they get your back all dirty.
One of the first things I remove. Along with them annoying buzzers. Though if I had a nice new clean one id leave it. Never removed a nice one.
