vaccum system, what all can I block off for testing purposes

I'd like to plug the hose going to the cruise control stuff to eliminate that whole system and see if I'm still having vac-leak type symptons.

What else can I just block off and still have the car run normal? I'm going to give the EGR a close look (soon as I find my dad's vaccum tester gauge)

In the diagram it shows a line going into the heater area to something labeled 'VAC'. I can see a line going into the wiring harness, which I can only assume is this 'VAC' line. Is this one I can unhook and plug?

I replaced the lines going to the charcoal cannister, but only inspected the short lines that go into the metal lines going to the fuel tank.

Basically if any of you know what the VAC is or what other things I can unhook, plug, and still drive normal for the purpose of eliminating potential problem sources let me know. Thanks.

I gotta go to bed now, I'm too tored to type.

You probably can't unplug many of the vaccum lines without some sort effect on performance. I got my vaccum system tested with a smoke. The shop just pumped smoke into my vaccum system and where it comes out is where you have a leak.

You should also check all of the gaskets on the intake and EGR system. You should also check for holes in the EGR tube that goes to the intake. Any of those going bad will cause major vaccum leaks.
