I have noticed for the past couple of weeks that whenever I start my car in the morning and drive it it seems to make a somewhat whistling noise. I don't know if it is due to the cold or it might be the bearing on the wheels like my mechanic told me it could be. Any info would be gratefully appreciated.

 

When does it whistle. Is it when you give it gas? My TB whistles whenever the throttle is in the right place.

 

A blown diode in the alternator also whistles. Thought it was a vacuum leak for the longest time, until I saw the volt gauge creep down to below 8 one day.

 

Yea, it does whistle when I give it gas and it also whistles when I just start it and it idols.

 

try puttin some belt ease on the fan belt
