TIRE WIDTH

Hey I guys I know I have asked this question before, I'm sorry about that but I forgot what the answers were, I have a 1992 Firebird 3.1 v6, and I was just wondering what is the biggest size tires I can place in the back without it sticking out, I want a tire size that looks really nice on my bird, does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want the tire sticking out but I do want a noticiable tire size. Thanks guys.

Re: TIRE WIDTH

Too vague, are you putting this on stock wheels? Or do you have wheels to go?

This topic has been covered to no end!!!!!! use the search.

Without hacking, 275 is a nice common sized tire. Cheaply availible, and fits in no prob. However these cars can go all the way up to 295-305 with lip rolling, and possibly 335 with a little inner fender mod.

Re: TIRE WIDTH

If you go with a wider tire make sure that it is safe for your rim width. I have stock 15x8s and 235s are about the widest you would want to go and stay safe. Not to mention larger tires are heavier and hurt performance on the V6 more.
