air pump bypass

I am preping my v6 for competition and have no use for the ir pump or the AC. ditching the AC is easy but the airpump shares a serpentine belt with the water pump. Does anyone have a number for a shorter belt that would fit with the Air delete?

Re: air pump bypass

If you do a search in the Engine or Exhaust forums on removing A.I.R. or deleting A.I.R. the belt size is in one or more of the threads.

Re: air pump bypass

Is this an '86 or older? It sounds liek it is, because your post implies two seperate belts.

If it is this dual belt set-up it's real easy to bypass the A.I.R. pump by use of a shorter belt.
