i need some help troubleshooting

i have an 87 camaro with the 2.8 v6, i just recently rebuilt it and it is fully built now. and when i took it for a test drive it was fine at low RPMs but when i get going good and i go to slow down and press in the clutch it dies. i do know i have some vaccum issues and my timing chain is lose. can anyone help me but giving me things to check and or confirming what i believe might be wrong?

thanks

Re: i need some help troubleshooting

Timing issues would definitely cause problems, but as we've all learned Vac leaks cause the idle issues. Like with my old DSM's, when the Idle control screw leaked you could beat on it all day, but the second you press in the clutch it would die.

If everything is rebuilt/new I would guess some intake mani vac lines are disconnected.
If it's recently build why is your timing chain loose?

If you have any ??'s or anything just lmk, i'd be glad to help.
