Corvette fuel pump part number

I'm going to have the fuel tank out tomorrow (second time I have replaced the pump) and I remember that many people recommend getting a Corvette pump instead. I sifted through some old threads and the closest I can get to a part number for this pump is that it's from an '89 Corvette. I checked out the RockAuto catalog and there are a few brand choices: Delphi, Airtex, Carter, Bosch, Delco, Edelbrock... If I just go to the parts store and ask for a pump for an '89 Corvette, is that enough to get me the pump with the metal internals?
Thanks.

Re: Corvette fuel pump part number

should be, have them look it up for a 89 vette, then have them look your car up, make sure the part numbers do not match and you should be ok

Re: Corvette fuel pump part number

get an eldelbrock or walboro pump. u dont need the 255 pump u can get the smaller one which is 155lph iirc.

edelbrock pumps are reboxed walboro pumps

Re: Corvette fuel pump part number

Finally got the car all back together. I bought the AC Delco pump EP375, Carter wiring and connector 888536, and the pulsator 55160 from Dorman (aka Motormite, Help).

Interestingly, the Corvette pump (the one I bought) is not exactly the same as the Camaro. The Corvette pump apparently sits in a plastic housing. There are 2 tabs on the bottom of the pump that aren't on the Camaro pump. But it fits together nevertheless.

The old pump was completely fried. Infinite resistance across the terminals.

I also had some good times with the brake lines and suspension. I'll post my brake line replacement tips in the brakes forum.

I hope these part numbers help out whoever digs this up in the future.
