Tune up

Ok i've had my 1991 camaro RS now for about a month and found out one of the ignition wires ir broke and im gonna do a full tune up on it. I got all the stuff needed just waiting on the ignition wires to come in. This is the first time ive done this so there is gonna pry be alot of questions and any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

First thing im gonna do is replace the air filter. I got the black thing that runs to it off. Now i just cant figure out how to get the O thing off thats over the air filter with the bolt running down cause when i losen the bolt the entire thing losens.

Re: Tune up

That would be the "air box"...and it is supposed to come off like that...its been awhile since ive had to take that off as i built a custom intake for mine...here is a link to a full tune up just for reference...also go to autozone or similar and get yourself a Hanes manual for your car...it will help you out alot if you dont know how to do stuff...there is pictures and good descriptions and all...have fun and ask if you get to something and not sure...better to ask a "stupid" question and learn something then break it and find out the hard way

heres the link...

Re: Tune up

Yea i just picked up a haynes one today but all it shows is ones with it on top of the engine...So i just take off the whole box and pull it out from the bottom?

Also im gonna do the spark plugs after that, a regular socket will work for putting it in correct?...just wanna be sure of what i read

and anything special i need to know when putting them in?
