passinger side door will not open

ok yesterday the passenger side door wont open at all from the inside or outside...

cant get the side panel off either so we took off the top armrest and had a look inside and saw the outside door handle bar broke right off the handle...

and when we move the inside handle it moves the lock thing but does int open like it does int hit it hard anuff i even tried to stick a stick down there and push on it and it wont do anything...

so now how do i get this door open?

also sorry if i posted this in the wrong area but i didint know were else to put it at

Re: passinger side door will not open

You should see a lever with a hole in it on the latch that the door handle rod fits into: press down on that(with the door unlocked) and it should open...

but i tried to push down on what you said and it still wont open that part seems really loose... makes a rattleing noise.

its either that is broken or the lock is stuck...
