Rocker arm/ valve lash adustment, how to?

I have a 1989 2.8 maro that seems to have loose rocker arms. I was wondering if i just tighten up the nut in the rocker arm or is there a correct way to adjust them. Pls help thanks for any answers

Someone asked the same ques not too long ago--like 2-3 days ago. Sorry I don't recall the thread. Is your cam stock or aftermarket?

Dont take my word for it but i think your suppose to turn the motor to a certain point and tighten them down while spinning the pushrod. Once you feel the slightest tightening on the rod then you stop. I did mine about a year ago but what i wound up doing was leaving the valve covers off and put the intake back on started the motor up and tightened all the ones that were loose and ticking. Kinda sucks having to put the intake back on then taking it back off again to put the valve covers back on but its the only way i could get the valve lash right. Oh and do NOT just start tightening them all down without proper instructions YOU WILL WIPE THE LOBES OFF YOUR CAM. good luck!
