TCI Street Fighter Transmission

I did a search, but did not find any solid information about the following question:

Will TCI's Street Fighter Transmission part number 372000 (which states is the application for 1982-84 1/2 700R4 for S10 & S15, V6, 27-spline, 2WD) work on our 60 degree, RWD, 2.8, 3.1, or 3.4 engines for Camaros and Firebirds?

Addendum: If not, why not?

Thanks in advance.

It looks like itll work. you'll want to look up the spline count on our input shaft to verify that is the same (I don't remember off the top of my head what it is). It does say that it will bolt to a 2.8 so, it would also bolt up to an f-body 2.8, 3.1, or 3.4.

If it states it will bolt to a 60 degree motor, it will work...but why would you want an early 27 spline trans? They are junk. Get an 87-up core, and have it rebuilt locally.

all v6 transmnissions are 27 spline

the tci trans is overpriced but the tci rebuild kit form summit and take the trans and kit to a trans shop and have it rebuilt u will save a ton of money
