frig, need to replace part of the fuel line now.
I guess that's my first question, can i replace just the line from the fuel filter back to the tank since that's what i broke today. Replacing the fuel filter finally and then this (see below) happened. Now i have to hold of on replacing the fuel filter and seeing if that's why my 87 wouldn't start.

the replacement or am i off? Also can the fuel line be bent by hand. How much of a PITA will this replacement be?

It's not hard to bend those lines, but you need to make sure you don't get any kinks or you need a new section of line. With the condition of those lines under your car, I'd look into complete replacement. What you have there will work, but you'll need to cut more line off and get rid of the pinched section first. However, like I said, with the condition of those lines, you may end up patching a piece here, trying to go again, patching another piece due to a loss of pressure at a pinhole, and then patching another one here there and anywhere until you decide that it's better to get new lines.
