code 34 question
I been searching for the answer and I have yet to find what I'm looking for. I just replaced my MAF and now the only code I have left is a code 34. What is the fix to resolve this? I'm thinking it could be my TPS but I figured I would ask first before I go poking around. I also havent checked my MAF burn off or power relay as of yet. As for how the car is running, now that I replaced the MAF, I'm getting a bit of a weird idle. It sounds like it's got a big cam in it during idle, falling off a bit and then picking back up to normal. I was going to record how it sounds but the old lady needed to use the car tonight for work

Re: code 34 question
Just a quick update. I decided to adjust the TPS today since it's a quick adjustment. I still am having the code 34 and now if you pull out hard, it will backfire once through the intake and then take off. The pro's to adjusting the TPS is that I actually get better throttle response and the car doesnt require quite so much gas to pull out now. The con is I think that I just uncovered a slight timing issue because of the backfire. Still wondering how to get rid of the code 34.

Re: code 34 question
First off, there is only one, 1, uno relay for the MAF, above the junction block bolted to the pass side headlight support. It's the power relay. The hot film MAF doesn't have a burn-off circuit.
Second, the code 34 is more than likely causing the backfire. And a defective connection, fuse, or relay is causing the 34 (low signal out of MAF sensor). Swap the relay with the fuel pump or another relay by the brake booster and see what happens.
