white smoke under load

Today I took my car out for a spin around the block and noticed that it blew a little bit of white smoke but not all the time. I take it back home and gave it some gas and nothing. I took it all the way up to around 5000 rpm and it was just fine. Also when I drive it around and floor it or just accelerate a little harder than normal I get a burning smell but when I pull over to check the smell is gone nothing touching the manifolds,no smoke...nothing I'm completely stumped on this any idea's on what it could be? The car is rarely driven on the road because it's not registered yet but I take it around the block every now and then.

Coolant will make exhaust white.

I had run seafoam the day before but didn't drive it just let it idle could it be maybe there was still some left in the vacuum line?

Seafoam will make a car smoke so that could possibly be the problem. There is only one other thing that I know of that will cause white smoke in the exhaust, coolant in the combustion chamber or in the exhaust system, most commonly caused by an intake manifold gasket, or a head gasket on the 3.1.

Most often an intake leak will either leak externally or into the lifter valley. Head gaskets are the most common cause of coolant in the cyls. You should run the motor at speed when using an induction cleaner like seafoam so there's enough velocity that the fluid won't puddle.

I took it out again last night and got no smoke so it probably was the seafoam but I still get the burning smell and I have no Idea where its coming from. It's been that way since I first took it out on the road in February and I've only taken it out a handful of time's since then It could be from sitting for 10 years. Either way soon I'll be pulling the motor out to redo all the gasket's and replace a few thing's I'll probably do the headgaskets while I have it out too and maybe the lifter's being I get a slight tick when the engine is warm.
