Strut Tower Brace
I did a search and couldnt come up with a good answer.
What strut tower braces will fit over the 2.8/3.1 manifold?
I have 36/24mm swaybars (I think, might be 34/23mm) and a wonder bar, Since Im done the paint I want it to handle like its on rails. My plans are
Rear Non-Adjustable LCA
LCARBs
Adjustable Panhard bar
Subframe Connectors and a
Strut tower brace
Im just unsure of what strut tower brace will fit a V6

Re: Strut Tower Brace
my edlebrock one fit over the intake fine...it however didnt under my SS hood so we modified it a bit. it should fit a stock hood fine
even though they arent listed for a v6 the v8 ones "should" all fit the v6s

Should be this one:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-5226/
It's for the TPI V8, and should still clear the intake manifolds from the 2.8/3.1/3.4 V6.
The other one conforms more to the TBI V8's intake manifold...

Re: Strut Tower Brace
I purchased the Three Point Brace from BMR Fabrication, part number STB004, and it fits perfectly over my 2.8 v6. There is between 3/4 and 1 inches of clearance between the brace and the throttle body.
Hope that helps.

Re: Strut Tower Brace
Thanks guys, I also email UMI about theirs. I like the way it mounts, I don't want to drill any holes.

Re: Strut Tower Brace
The 2-point strut tower brace by UMI won't provide as much chassis rigidity as the 3-point systems offered by BMR and Edelbrock.
