Need advice on which route to take

wanting to do a head swap in a 1992 3.1 MFPI with plans on a turbo set up. Currently I am having issues with a mystery stalling ghost. (see ECM thread) https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/dfi-...s-i-think.html
My question is this. Since I am planning a full head swap and possibly an ECM along with. Do I even worry about said mystery problem?? I Believe I can get a full top end for around 500.00.
My ride has 130k on it. Any thoughts gents??

Re: Need advice on which route to take

Guess it just depends on if you need, or want, to drive it anytime soon.
Both times I had problems with stalling it was a bad fuel injectors(s). I would try to get that worked out before doing the swap. That way you know you're starting with something that runs, and if it doesnt run after the swap you'll be able to narrow down the possable problems. Also, I doubt your problem is caused by something you'll be replacing in the top end swap.
