Anybody want to help me change my heater core?
I cranked the heater on last night and the smell of coolent hit me in the face.Not to mention the blower motor is bad.
Man,I don't want to tear my dash apart.It sucks to be me right now.lol

Kevin before you go ripping the dash apart check your hoses that connect on the heater core (The ones that come through the firewall in the engine compartment) I thought that my core went bad and it turned out to be those hoses.

 

It is not that bad of a job. I helped my buddy with his 89 RS and it was about a 2 hour job. Actually we found about 5 bucks behind the dash and a lot of dust and dirt. It would be a great time if you ever wanted to add new 4x6's to also do that... Just do like we did, get a buddy and each works on half of the dash...

 

Thanks guys.I'm not sure when I can get to it but I do now it will be soon.I've already checked everything else.Hoping it wasn't the core.
I called around today to get prices on both. The lowest I found was 29.99 for a blower motor and 18.99 for the core.For some reason I thought the prices would be oposite.Oh well!
