Well i messed up, Piston Help Plz

So in the middle of taking my engine apart i punched half of the pistons. Well because the engine was so bad i waiting until i pulled the other half to punch they but i layed them in what i percieved as being the right order. Now they sit where they could've been moved, since they are in my autoshop at school and i'm feeling uneasy about putting them in without knowing what goes where.

My question is, is there any markings that could tell me which piston goes where from the factory? It is a 3.4L V6 out of a 93 if that matters.

Next up is, if that's a no can a machine shop weigh them and tell me or should i buy new ones? Where would i get new ones, i've searched jegs and summit but came up empty handed.

You should have marked the pistons and rods prior to removal (including the bearing caps at the bottom). With that said, now that they're out, they can probably go back into any hole you want them to. Just be sure to mark the other bank before removal. They make special punches for this, BTW. The only thing you have to take note of is that the notch in the piston crown faces the timing chain end of the block (the front).

A machine shop will probably tell you the same. And, most of the time, you can find piston sets on eBay. It's either that or from KB/Silvolite or Keith Black or someplace like that (for $$$$). Don't know what you want to do with the engine, but if you're planning a hybrid, you will most likely need to ditch the stock 3.4 pistons as the dishes are too small (8 cc as compared to the 12 cc in the 3.1 and the 26 cc in the 3100/3400). And, you would need a machine shop to replace the pistons as the wrist pins are pressed into the rods (as opposed to being held in by clips in the piston).
