160 degree thermostat

This site says that you can put a 160 degree thermostat on our V6 but when I looked in summit they say there only for Chevy/Ford/AMC V8s. Will it work? Is it worth it?

Mookie, the only place I ever found the 160stat for our V6 was from Hypertech, goto www.summitracing.com part # HYP-1006.
I think it was really worth it, my car used to run at 220 highway, now it doesnt even hit 200 city!

Monkie, Summit doesn't list all of their parts... they're not going to waste advertising space on our v6's. Most of the time I call and ask the guy if he has "this part" for "my engine".

Oh yeah forgot to say- the v8 one won't work.. it's too large. I bought one 4 years ago when I didn't know, it's somewhere in the basement. I also have the Hypertech unit; it works great in the summer. Right now though I'm freezing my butt off; I gotta put the 195 back in for the winter.
