I have a pulsating squeak noise that gets louder and higher pitched as the throttle is increased.

I checked the belt....

The sound seems to be coming from around the Dist. or somewhere under the Plenum...

This is strange also, when under strong acceleration the noise dissappears. It is only when you slowly increase the throttle, or leave it at a moderate position that it makes noise.


Help me out! I have to drive a long way on wed! I dont want to be stuck on the side of the road like all the rustangs I've seen.

set your bird in park, let engine run and spray some brakecleaner on those parts where the noise comes from, by using the throttle by hand till you hear the noise. it could also be an airflow inside a hose or tube-use a long screwdriver - put it on different engine areas with your ear on the handle, maybe you can locate where the noise comes from.

hm..is it a whistling sound when ur about 2.5k up, and if u rev it it whistles up and down with the throttle?

If so...check ur gaskets on the plenum and TB..the same thing happened to me and that was the cause.
