Well, because I put the studded snows on the RS today, last night I just had to go lay a nice strip

I had mentioned in a past post that I wasn't terribly thrilled with the gain from the coil. But damn, that thing over 4500 PULLS now!!

Some of that could be the 23 degree weather last night, but Tom had mentioned after the coil, his car shifted at a higher RPM. Sure enough, I hit a perfect 57-5800RPM shift, and chirped the damn tires on the 1-2 shift too!

Oh yeah, as for the strip, I power-braked to 2200 RPM or so, and just as the RR started to spin, I let off the brake and pinned it, and I'll be damned if I didn't leave one helluva stripe I spun the tires all the way to 5200RPM in 1st before they caught!! Before all my mods back in April, I could barely spin the RR for 5-7 feet on a 60 degree day!!

Last one until April though Spinning studded snows isn't a good idea!!

Cool (about the coil)! Hey I thought studded snow tires were illegal?

Not in MA!! They are illegal only from April 15th to November 15th...all other months of the year, they're legal (I've seen a few idiots in RWD Volvos run them all year...dumb treehuggers )
