Deposits in exhaust system

When I fire up my car first thing in the morning, water comes spitting out of it.. this doesn't bother me so much as it being so laden with deposits it's painting my driveway black.. bad O2 sensor? Other ideas?

check the fluid with your fingers, if its clear or not, get your emission checked.
smell on your exhaust when engine is hot.
If it smells rich, your O2-sensor might be bad.

you could have oil leaking down from your oil block to your exhaust manifold resulting from a bad gasket. Same thing happened to this old truck i used to have, had a oil leak from hell leaking into the exhaust manifold making it spit out a black liquid from the pipes, there's still black marks all over my driveway from that, i sold that thing like 11 months ago to.

They're dry deposits, probably soot.. believe me, if it were oil I wouldn't have even noticed it.. my driveway's got a pretty good coat =P

the moisture, is it water or fuel? fuel is self explanitory.. excess water is pretty normal, especially for a car thats driven pretty much on short, stop and go type trips.. also the cool weather doesnt really help matters.. your engine could be running rich, or it may just be old carbon build up in your exhaust that is breaking free...

It is just water, but the 'old carbon buildup' thing would be hard to explain.. I replaced everything behind the headers when I bought the car.. I just found out when the O2 sensor was last replaced.. it's about 10k overdue.. whoops =P Thanks guys.
