ok, you all probably know that 90-92 v6's came with a digital EGR valve. is anyone familiar with this part?? i need to know if it is possible to remove it and clean the 3 valves. i am still having deceleration problems but i've gotten no codes and i checked all 3 solenoids with a scanner and everything is working properly.....so i've narrowed it down to carbon build-up on one, two, or all three valves and it's not letting them fully close. anybody????????? TomP???????

you can remove it and clean it with gas and a little brush like for pipes or guns, after that you might need a new gasket.
But I'm not sure if it will fix your accel. problem.

Oh im an expert on this by now lol. I just put some throtle body cleaner on a rag and cleaned it now the gasket on the otherhand let me put it like this if its the one im looking for YOU CANT FIND ITTTT. i went to GM they insisted the one they had was for my car i bring mine in wow its not then they try to say i dont have the origonal engine so im like my moms has the same EGR so i order the special gasket for hers well turns out its still wrong.. Pepboys dont got it nor does any one else im actualy goin to the bone yard this weekend if it stops rainign to get one if you want ill pick you one up. alsoyou need the one with 3 holes in it right???

 

hmmm, engineboy gave me this part number(2-1357) for a digital EGR on a 4.3 so i'm gonna check that out first and see if it's the same. oh, by the way, as soon as i posted this, my problem seems to have cleared up (knock on wood). unfreikin believable
