One week,3 days till I get my RS....*drooool* Help me decide what to paint it.

I can't wait. I'll have me a '89 Camaro! I am really exited. Next weekend I should have it...This week I am upgrading my licence,as I've had a learners for over a year cause if I got my license I'd need insurance to drive at all.

The car is a faded burgandy color, sunroof, and grey interior. I am going to want to repaint it. I was thinking about painting black the headlight area, and the rest of the car white...White cause it has no AC and I'll take all the help I can get.

Kinda like this is what I want it to look like after I put stripes on it,and get the IROC rims.

Ony differance is mine will have a sunroof and not T-Tops Oh well, atleast they look good on it and dont leak.

What do you think? How hard to go from a dark color to a light color like burgandy to white?

Make sure you do your door jambs under the hood and trunk area too if you are switchng the color.. Nothing more goofy than a white car and you open the door or pop the hood and BOOM NICE RED again..... I say keep it the stock color and just fix the AC..

Yeah, that's a lot of repainting... especially if you want to open your hood and show the engine off! I don't think you'd -have- to have the body shop paint those "hidden" pieces... you could probably do the door jambs and weatherstrip areas and under the hood with spray cans of "color match" paint. Actually for under the hood, you might just want to use black.

Brian, fixing AC and installing AC in a car that didn't get it are two different animals =P I mean, if you're desperate for AC it's possible.. but yer in for a learning experience and a few days.
