I cant rememeber if I posted about this before or not, but I was changing spark plugs about 3 weeks ago and noticed #5 was covered in oil, so I did a compression test. It only had 80, the rest had around 175. I then ripped the top half of the motor apart(heads, manifold, heads, etc.) , jacked the engine up a few inches , so I could pull the oil pan off. I then pushed the piston out the top and put new rings in. Meanwhile I had the heads in the machine shop getting .020 plained off, magnafluxed, stiffer springs, and a valve job done. I just got the car together a few days ago and I definitely feel an increase in power! Restoring the comprseeion in #5 along with the compression ratio increase really made a difference.

Joe, just a guess, but that's probably covered by 'valve job' =P

Tech Smurf, sorry I am reading these things to fast sometimes...I just tought it would have been dumb to do an engine over without a valve job.
Thanx for pointing it out though
