could i have messed anything up with coil?
i was attempting to install my accel supercoil the day my tranny went out. I hooked the coil into the little electric socket thingie, and connected the wires to the coil, and then the wire to the distributor capi turned the key, but the motor wouldn't turn over, so could this little cranking have hurt the tranny? also, why the heck wouldn't the coil work, anyone else with an accel please help. Thanx.
p.s.
don't laugh at the question, i know it sounds stupid, but i gotta ask.

hmm u know i did the same thing...reversed the wires even though they should have the thing on the side which puts it in the correct way...but i didnt have one even though i was supposed to, so i put it in wrong and it didnt crank. check connections, and if worse comes to worse return the coil for another one. maybe its defective.

I've got an Accel Supercoil.
Just that when I installed it, I did it correct.
Heck, return it if it's busted. They'll take it back, no problem.
Please help me understand your thinking, how installing a coil can damage a transmission?
NO!
Now, get back out there, install the wires correct, and go lay some rubber!
Oh, forgot the tranny's busted, LOL!
Damn coil U installed!
Don't worry. Be more concerned if you damaged the electrics in the distributor.
