OK, I'm confused. Just to clear this up, you owned car A. You put a killer engine in Car A, and then sold it to your friend and bought car B (TA). Your friend then took the engine out of Car A (why?), and sold car A minus killer engine back to you? So now you have Car A and Car B?
Nope ya got it right... ok heres what happen.
Took a year to 16 months to build engine... sold car to friend.
Took money and bought a T/A 6.6L....
Friend completed engine and ran car for about 2 weeks.
Friend found 1990 firebird in perfect condition..
Friend pulls done over engine and puts short block old engine back into my pld car.
Friend completes old engine in 91 firebird and fixes to sell it.
I offer to rebuy it back as i miss it.
Friend makes a good deal to get it out of his hair and get wife01 off his back.
I purchase old firebird back less the built engine and afew other things he took off and put on 90 firebird.
So now i got a T/A and a firebird
Actually worked great as we never did sign the title and stuff over as he didn't expect to take his vacation and complete the car when he did. So no title work and no registary trips
What i am gonna do is get a hood for it, freshing up the interior and get it painted and its up for sale. I am enjoying the T/A way to much to spend thousands back into a V6 again HOWEVER, for what the V6 is, IMHO it is one of the BEST blocks GM EVER produced and is a FUN car to drive dispite what the V8'ers have to say and agian, theres a V6 next door that WILL smoke most V8's and lose to very few. the 90 loses by afew cars to my T/A, but still pulls LOW 14's on juice as its best time, my 91 pulled a best of 13.98 on gas with the old engine in it, now it has to be in the 16's again as i lose by a car to a 3.8L mustang, thats about right as it did the same when i first got it.
