Has anybody installed a 4.3L? I'd like to know what the fastest na (no No2) v6 is. Please post gears, bore/stroke, trans, weight, cam, intake etc.

I think that 3.1 Firebird holds that honor...running on basically 5 cylinders he turned out a 16.0

 

ede has a 4.3 in the works. I don't what the status of his (de)construction is though.

 

hehe thanks, but I remember a few other 15 second cars on here, and one guy had a highly modded camaro that ran 14's. Now that my car is fixed and running on all 6 my times are worse than when I was running on 5 because the tire spins so bad off the line! My 60' times really suck.

Well after I get some more info and start building this 4.3 with t-4 turbo I should be up with the z's at least....

86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!

I am actually in Athens at OU right now and the car is in Wheelersburg OH where my mom lives. If you would want to come down one weekend I would be glad to take you a ride in a 3/4 finished one.
