has anyone ever tried this?
has anyone ever tried this?
I saw a mr. gasket exhaust cut-out part # 720-5424 on jegs. I was wondering if putting this on in front of my cat or behind it help with performance, or would it just sound loud as hell, and make my car dog slow?
It would definatly make it loud as hell. I doubt it would make it dog slow.Ever seen a dragster with a tailpipe????

is not like being a philatelist - there is always something
new to say about stamps."

If you put that cut out waaay in the back of the car, right before the muffler, you'd probably drop the performance. As long as you keep the piping short between the engine and the exhaust dump, you'll be fine.

I re-read what I wrote... let me clarify that! You'd be "fine" as in you wouldn't kill the "complete/overall" (low and high end) performance of the car. However, what Overclock said would happen... you'll sacrifice some low-end power to get some high-rpm power.
