When I swapped the 1995 3.4 in there, I swapped the injectors on the recommendation.
Glad I did, also.
The spray pattern is different than the pintle style. It looks identical to a home shower head.
NOW, I was told MY current 3.4 injectors are the same as a 305.

BUT
Yesterday I was told they are 17lb injectors.

All I'll say is that the 3.4 ones I'm using work perfect.
Might be wise to shop around at places selling injectors and ask them what is the diff.
I can only say again, that the 3.4 ones I'm using and got with this 1995 3.4 engine are a perfect match. I am using them in the 1985 designed 2.8 upper intake system.
See my Smog Passing post for the results of the swap.

SVO injectors are available from ford motorsport...their a direct drop in. The only problem i had was the o-rings on the injectors were larger, so i bought some 3.4 injector o-rings and they went right in and work great. I have a HUGE 2 & 3 gears now just as a result of them

what do you mean you have huge 2 & 3 gears now? They pull harder or they last longer?

Installing injectors is quite easy, in theory.
I mean, you remove parts of the intake to gain access. It's right there in plain view.
The hardest part was keeping dirt out of the injector rail.
I had to use a bit of a screw driver (to dig out dirt) & compressed air & carb cleaner to install/swap my 6.
ALSO, some really good lubricant it used for the o-ring. My buddy had it, I know not that oil name.

i can chirp 2-3 pretty well. I can roast my Tire(single til i have posi) very well, no matter if its 110 degrees out. My gas mileage went up some too...(apparently my injectors b4 were leaking) and basically with my 1.6 rockers and the injectors, i have a little more in 1st, but once i hit second and u nail it the whole rear DROPS and takes off like a bat outta hell..

Graeme if you HAD TO guess how much HP and torque you have what would you say? I think I have somewhere around 150hp in the V6 and there is NO WAY it will chirp 2 to 3. With all you mods what numbers do you think you have?

Hi Tom,
I can only direct ya to the same response I gave, earlier.
I know not what the other type looks like. I know the Pintle & the type I now have on the car. It does look like a shower head.
Anyone help us with better terms?

I tried 3.4L injectors from a Z34 in the bird for awhile, was way too much gas... Gas mileage went to total ****, and the car would flood at idle and die. I'd imagine you'd need a nice handfull of mods before bigger injectors would be neccessary.

BTW to swap the injectors is a 20 minute job R&R.

Graeme what kind of 1.6 rockers do you have? I'm trying to figure out what gave you so much gain to allow an actual gain from bigger injectors. How big of a diff did you feel from the rocker swap?
