Which hooker exhaust?
Which hooker exhaust?
i got my hooker catback for my '91 3.1, and discovered that it didn't fit. I'm pretty sure i've seen a V6 with it before, but does anyone know which one they got, and did it have to be taken to a muffler shop? Any info, like a part no. or anything would be appreciated... thanks.

well as long as it was for a 82-92 camaro it should fit. Weither it be a 2.8/3.1/305/350 I think that all the systems are shaped the same way, hense they should bolt togeather and be interchangable. The only thing that you might have a problem with is the hooking it up to the cat. You may have to get a reducer or a larger cat.
hey...i can help you out. i installed my hooker aerochamber about 2 weeks ago. check my post up top for and audio file...i am gonna post it next.
when i was doing my exhuast i wanted to make sure that it was getting into the muffler with a 2.5" pipe. so when i looked up the aerochamber mufflers i found that they sold two kinds specifically for our cars because we need the dual outs. the one for third gens though has a 2.25" in and 2 2.25" outs. which didn't make since to me (P/N 21720). then, they sold one for fourth gens, which is exactly the same but with a 2.5" in and 2 2.25" outs (P/N/ 21721). so i went and ordered the fourth gen version for my 1990 3.1 bird along with thier 2.5" elite stainless steel tips. welp! its installed with 2.5" manderal bent pipe and sounds great....you shouldn't have any problems getting it to fit. look up top for my audio post!
