T5 Queastion
My car when to the shop about a month ago to replace the tranny cross member mount. I've been driving around with it for a monthe now, and even the first day I got it fixed I said to myself, the clutch feels funny. So hears what happened. The car was up on a lift the other day for an Exhaust estiment so that gave me a good chance to check out the tranny. What I saw when i was under the car is the tranny was turned sideway at about a 1 O'Clock and the tail end of the tranny was shifted to the left and it looked to be that the u-joints of the drive shaft are hitting the bottom of the floor pan. Is right? How can i fix it what can I do? PLEASE HELP.
Robert
P.S. I've also have had trouble shifting into reverse from a stop.

you cant get it into reverse without shutting off the car? is it because its hitting the console..? Also, when putting in reverse and it doesnt go, let out the clutch let it sit for a sec, then do the clutch and try reverse

NO it's going into reverse because the end of the tranny has shifted to the right so the clutch is not ingaging all the way and when I get it in to reverse it cause the drive shaft to hit the floor pan because it too far over to the right.

What you are describing sounds physically impossible unless your bellhousing bolts fell off, which is not likely....when you looked at it, was the top of the tranny leaning towards the drivers side or the passenger??
