WHAT FOND MEMORIES.
Here's something for ya.
An ad from "Cars" magazine, December 1969 (Don't cha put me in my grave!!!)
From Motion Performance Baldwin Long Island (YES, THEM!) Thrush Mufflers $4.98 each.
Now you know why they are legendary.
DIRT DIRT DIRT CHEAP!
LOVE THEM LONG LIVE THAT SOUND IN MY JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL MIND!!
Hooker headers were going for $125/$150 each. That was not cheap then, either! You should see the application list the 1969 cars!!!
427 Corvette, Chevelles, 396/427 Camaros (street-yeah right!), 383 Cuda, fender well exits! 440 Coronets, 426 HEMI applications! 390 AMX, Javelins!
AH, to have been 13 then, it was heaven!
I know.
I help my Brother put a set of Hookers on his 1966 Mustang, we bought (the car) new. Had to drive to Philly for the inspection sticker, illegally of course!!
Remember 1970 was the PEAK OF THE HORSEPOWER WARS, TOO! That application list ONLY GOT BETTER!
