More rubber on the road= Some loss in hp and tourqe.

Remember there is more rubber hitting the road and your rear wheels have to turn that rubber.

Right does anyone know if it effects the 2.8 with huge ammounts off loss, or if its not that noticable, cause isn't the GTA wheels less than the plain Firebird rims, so does it balance out????

I have 83 trans am rims on my firebird with a 2.8L 15X7, my stock rims where 14X6 or something like that. I lost alittle aceleration off the line but thats about it. But the ride is alot better and so is the handleing

whatever guys... there isn't any difference, other than a bit more traction and it'll stick in the corners better.

well, the purpose of those rims on the GTA's were that they were Supposed to be lighter then the other rims. and therefore u have less rotating mass and better acceleration. But i don't know if they really do weigh less.
