I was wondering if any one knows if i can pull a intake off a older 2.8 v6 and put in on my 1986 camaro 2.8 v6 engine so that i can go with a carb instead of using the fuel injection. The engine and transmission out of a 1986 camaro are going to be put in a 1971 buick skylark and i pulled all the wireing harness under the hood and then got in the car and realized theres way to many wires and ill have to remove the dash to get to them and pull the gas tank out to stay with the fuel injection. So im hopeing some knows how i can put a carb on this motor.

 

the carb and intake from a 84 and earlier camaro/firebird should bolt right up, idk about the older FWD ones

 

The 82-84 v6 carbs are computer controlled.
FWD v6 intakes are different.
82 S-10 might have a non comp. contolled carb. They do have a vacuum advance distributor (which you'll need).
Edelbrock make a 2piece intake, a base & a stock carb top or 4bbl. carb top.
That 2.8l is going into an intermediate car? It's gonna be very underpowered for that application.
