Ok, hopefully, sometime before Christmas, I'm going to be doing the following:
Gasket matching the intake and minor working over...
Putting in flowmatched 15LB non-pintle injectors (pulled from a newer 2.8, they're the 'shower' type, and look very new, only minor exterior discoloration, inside the injector part it's still shiny new... All check out at 11.8ohms, Crusin Performance will work their magic on them...)
Dynomax cat-back with 3.25in crome tips, Catco hi-flow catalitic convertor, and I'm also going to have a local exhaust shop mandrel bend me a new Y-pipe, I'll make sure they work it to ease out the airflow in that area... they will also drill and tap a new hole for my O2 (my hole is stripped, and my O2 is welded in) and a new O2 will go in. the entire exhaust system will be welded, except for the header to y-pipe connection... I'm leaving that clamped (w/stainless steel of course) so that I don't have to cut to install the headers that I'll get from Camaro-hunter (not including these in this HP figure!!)
I also want to get a new MSD coil, and some drop in KNN's along with making a new TB to snorkle pipe out of PVC.
With all that, what do you think I'll end up with? TQ and HP wise...
now take this a step further... (diff set of numbers!) what if, after all that (and I recouped some money) I were to pull the heads, gasket match them and have them tanked, 3-angeled and a new cam/springs/rockers/valve seats/pushrods (would if be nessesary to do lifters too?)
I'm thinking the new number after situation #1 I'll have at least 160 HP, and probably 180-190 TQ... after situation number 2 I'll have 190 HP and 210-220 TQ... I think those are some damn fine numbers... It should also bring my powerband down a little too...
only problem is my tranny... it's bad... so I'm probbaly getting alot more than usual drivetrain loss...
so what do you think, my numbers realistic?

15 hp seems right.. you dont get much from exhaust until you have headers done, and the exhaust wont really do too much until you can get more air and gas in the cylinders and more out (cam, rockers, heads, etc.)

Nah... do it. You'll be glad in the long run. Everything compliments eachother, if you do the heads, then they wont live to full potential because you cant get enough exhaust out fast enough.. Start small with the exhaust then work your way up.

Xeno, while you have the whole intake & fuel rail off, think about throwing some 1.52 rocker arms under the valve covers. Everything will be out of the way at that point! Plus, check out what 614Streets found out for us at https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/002908.html - he proved that a SBC 1.50 roller tip rocker arm can work on our engines. Yeah it's not a 1.52, but you can usually find SBC rocker arms for cheaper than the 1.52 V6 set...
