Door seems much easier to open and close

Well Ive always used W-D40 on my doors .Well I didn't have any and was to damn lazy just to go to the store just for that .So I used "3 in 1 household oil " .I just really halfas* did it . Cus I did not think it would really work .It's amazing guys !!!! The door opens so much smoother and its so much easier to open and close ! ..WOW !!!

Funny you mention this, I ran into the same exact problem about a week ago. My drivers side door was squeeking like hell when I moved it, and it was embarrassing. I shot some 3-in-1 cycle oil in there all over the place and it quieted it right up, no more grinding/squeeking! I did the passengers side while I was at it too.

Motor oil is what your owners manual suggests.

IN THIS INSTANTCE, door jambs, WD 40 kinda removes the good grease.
3-1 stuff is primo stuff. It has been around for years.
I like used motor oil myself, tho. My old oil can gets in there real well.

I just oiled the other door a few min . It had a small squeek . I keep oiling differnt places for like 10 min , never could get that small squeek out of there . So I bent down and checked it out the hinge areau real good .Knowticed there was a bunch of leaves and crapola by the stem that holds the hinge , I pulled all of it out , shot a tad bit of oil .and that did it ! ...Wayne

Heck I think I'll need a new driver side hinge set up soon. When I open the door it falls slightly and you can't easily shut it, it has to be slammed. When it lowers, it needs the extra umph to get on the bolt where it latches.
