help please?

First off I just wanna let all you guys know that I'm not a mechanic genius. I recently purchased a 1992 camaro rs 25th anniversary edition. Originally it idled high in park and low in drive. I looked at the vaccum hoses and one of them was covered so I uncovered it and it idles correctly. But when its idling its rough and very choppy. Does anyone have any suggestions? And if so can you put it in english and not tech talk? Thank you so much.

Re: help please?

You need to figure out where the vacuum line goes, there is a diagram on the hood or rad support.

Re: help please?

Well I know where all of the vacuume lines are, but none of them are connected to anything. They're connected to the motor but nothing else. Also my neighbor (who is a car genius) said it could most likely be the egr valve because its leaking.
