87 Camaro wont start
87 Camaro wont start
Driving car to work at 4am, driving about 50 mph car would not accelerate any faster. let off the gas pedal and the check engine light came on then stalled. would not restart not enough juice in battery. after work replaced battery and still no start saw lots of fuel leaking by the IAC valve. after inspecting, gas was shooting out of vacuum line for the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Replaced Regulator. now no leak but car still will not start. Brand new battery but seems there is not enough power to start. Car cranks but not enough to start. Seems like it is very sluggish. Cranks strong then stops cranking turn off key and try again same thing happens strong then bog. At a loss. please help. any suggestions?

You were driving to work with the lights on right??? Were the lights dimming as the car started to die? Just sounds like that car dieing initally was dues to a charging issue as the battery even a brand new one will only work for just a bit before it needs the alternator to do the work and keep the ac/dc charging and rectification going.
Im thinging that your alternator may be bad. You could remove it and take it to autozone or a place like that, they will check it to see if its bad for free. If its not, well then you know its good. If its bad, a new one cost about 70 bucks at autozone for a new one and your good to go.

Take the plugs out and crank the engine (with the ignition coil disconnected from the wiring harness at the GRAY connector). If fuel was shooting into the plenum like you described, you may have hydrolocked a couple cylinders...
Of course, make sure the battery is charged and get the alternator tested first...
:edit: And then change the oil...
