can i glue it back together
While I was working on my car today I accidentally broke the vacuum hose nipple off of the egr solenoid. It's the one that the elbow attaches onto. It's made of black plastic. Has anyone ever tried gluing something like this back together and if so what kind of glue? I'm going to regret having to cough up over a $100 to replace a working unit just because of broken plastic.
What other options do I have? I might be able to tap into the other nipple from the same vacuum line but I'd still have to fill the broken hole and don't know if changing the plumbing would effect operation.
Any ideas?

Pics would help...
If you're referring to the nipple that sticks out of the solenoid outlet (top line connection) you can plug it and put a T in between the EGR valve elbow (the one that goes to the top of the solenoid) and the plastic line running to the valve. If this nipple/elbow remains unconnected, you WILL throw a code 32 as that line is for the vacuum sensor (the thing the 4-wire plug connects to).
Also, I have a perfectly good EGR solenoid setup (no valve) in the garage that I can't use and can't get rid of...

It's the vacuum line at the bottom of the picture with the 90 deg elbow. It comes out the side and connects to the included controller. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2144&ppt=C0018

Well, you could try to glue it back on, but I can almost guarantee it's not going to hold. Best thing to do is to put something in the port where the valve connection is (on the end, so you don't plug the port entirely) and plug it with RTV or something. Then put a T in the valve line and connect that to the sensor line with hose.

I capped off the hole and put a tee in to the the line. Thanks for the input. Now if I can just get the thing to start. I just replaced the fuel pressure regulator. It was flooding out before because it had a rip in it but now it doesn't seem to be getting any fuel.
