Shake at 1500-2000

hey guys
kinda baffeled here, noticed today that the car starts shaking pretty bad at around 1500 - 2000 rpm , and smoothes out after. idles just fine, thought it might be a motor mount but they seem solid. replaced the harmonic balancer recently and it made it better but it still has a shake.

im baffeled, any input would be awesome!

My 92 RS vibrates everything at idle. Kinda the opposite of you. But I do notice a weird sound from the exhaust around 15-16k rpm. I think we both could benefit from new motor mounts.

1500-1600 im sure you meant. Would love if these motors could spin to 16,000 rpms.

actualy by the number, a 2.8 should be able to rev to 14K, if you can get the internal parts strong enough. [ bore to stroke ratio ]

fixed 90% of the shaking she needed a tune up bad! new cap plugs and wires. now a new coil pack and she should be purring. I think I need to adjust the carb too rpm is a little low after the tune
