egr

Hey guys. I have a 91 camaro with a 3.1. Ive put a new crate motor in it with new everything except intake oilpan and valve covers. I removed the smog pump, new exhaust manifolds with everything capped for the smog related stuff. Now im not sure what to do with the egr. Do I leave the actual egr on and tuck it somewhere or will it be alright completely removed. As far as the computer ive read some people have no problems leaving it stock and have read others had to have it burnt to run without the egr. Im gonna wait and see how it does before I decide on having the computer burnt. Anyways just curious on what ideas are out there on what to do with the egr itself.

Well does the egr still work ok and does your passanger side man. have the flange for the egr? Personally I would just leave it there and hooked up unless your in dire need for room or something.

As for the tuning part... im not 100% sure and im sure someone on here is so I will let them chime in and answer correctly.

Re: egr

Well I ordered new manifolds and the flange and everything is gone. Smog pump etc is gone. Only thing left is the egr itself. The port on the side of the intake has been capped also. Im not sure if the egr works or not but not worried because tryin to get rid of it. Not necessarily a room issue but more for looks. Thanks for the help!
