92 camaro rs need help pls!!!

1992 camaro rs 3.1l v6 so i done a replacement of head gaskets set got the car all put back together tried to start the car it back fries wont start and run just turns over and back fires before i tore the car apart it ran great perfect no codes or anything i had coolant going into overflow i had new thermostat installed week before new fan fresh radiator flush came out guy i know said its head gasket.. Why is the car now back fireing when trying to start up...

I had take push rods out lift the heads up to replace gasket is their a special way the rocker arms are suppose to be i called a chevy dealer they said the bolts was suppose be torque to 19 foot pounds of torque so i done that...

Did you adjust the valves after the heads were reinstalled? Is your distributor set properly to TDC on the compression stroke?

A chevy dealership told me tighten until they didnt move then torque to 19 foot pounds.

Who ever told you that is way wrong. Stop and do not try to start it again your valves are not adjusted properly

Good deal thanks. Miss driving the car!!! Just trying keep this little v6 up until 383 stroker built. Doing motor swap but with bills and 2 kids money tight lol
