Rs safety

So i bought an 89 rs 2.8 about a month ago its been having an issue where the security light comes on and the car wont start unless i push start it is there away to bypass this feature

more then likey u need to do a vats bypass , just search vats bypass on here and u will find many threads that will tell u how to check if its your issue and also how to fix it

Driver's side foot well where the hood release is, the VATS relay is there. You jump the two big wires and it bypasses it. Had to do it when I V8 swapped my car.

There is 10+ years of posts on this site, and hundreds of threads on VATS. It still amazes me people don't search the site before posting...

in his defence he prolly has no idea what vats is so he wouldnt have known what to search for till soone told him.

though searching for security light would have more then likley led him to the proper threads
