Hi, I'm new here ... I still have to read and learn a lot ... but I need your help in advance.
I have a 91 Firebird base v6, and I'm looking for a part that should be behind the fluid reservoir of the steering pump.
The problem is that I do not know what that piece is called, so I can look for it and buy it.
I think the piece is like the one you see in the picture.
Can you help me?
Can anyone make a photo of your piece in your car from another angle?
If I see more images of this piece so I can search better on the internet.

I´m sorry my english is not very good yet...

Thanks to all

My car looks like yours ! I took it off and never refitted it. Either try car scrap place or just get some metal and bend it, grind it, drill it how you want .

The bracket in your post is missing a small bracket on the top that is used to support fuel lines. The bolt attached to your fuel lines is not attached as top bracket is not there.

The rear steering pump bracket is VERY Important from my recent experience.I had a strange noise in the lower front of the engine. It lead to a shredded belt and cracked front aluminum mount. From what I read hear on the site the aluminum mount for 88=92 V6 thirdgens is not longer made. I had to find one in the junkyard.

The really bad news was the bolt and stud for the rear steering pump bracket both broke inside the mounting holes in the block. The only way to safely remove the bolts without destroying the threads or hacking the fix with JB weld was to pull the engine.

Re: 91 Firebird power steering pump rear support bracket?
Hello again. From what my mechanic told me, the only function that has this support is to avoid the possible vibrations of the steering pump. Therefore, it is screwed from the back of the fluid tank to the engine block.

That's the problem I have. When I turn on the air conditioning, the fluid reservoir of the steering pump also vibrates the pulley, causing a very annoying noise.

Therefore, it is vitally important to find this support. If I do not find it, I'll have to make it.

Sorry ... but seeing the photos ...
I think I need two pieces ... one of the photo, that supports those tubes ...
And another part is that of the back of the fluid reservoir of the steering pump.

Or, in the 91 v6 Firebird, are those two pieces a single piece?

This should be the support I need also for the reservoir of the steering pump, right?

That's what mine looked like, I can't fit it on my headers though. I am yet to make one that will bolt above the exhaust

I took it off when I put headers on my car too since there was no way to mount it back on. I ran it that way for probably 7 years with no issues.
