mass airflow test - unplug no effect?
The motor started normally with the sensor unplugged.
When I plugged it in - no change.
When I unplugged it - no change.
Shouldn't there be some change?

I should mention that the sensor has a sticker on the bottom, indicating that it is a "rebuilt" unit.
The core is AC Delco.

The engine should start running rich and cruddy with the maf unplugged as well as a check engine light on.

Re: mass airflow test - unplug no effect?
The CEL has been on since I got the car some 5 years ago.
I may pull the codes tomorrow just for fun.
I ordered an AC Delco new-manufactured MAF after I did a full-temperature test, and got the same result as the quickie test I did for the vid.
Don't know if that will change the issue with the timing mark jumping all over the place, or change the bucking ant stuttering that it does when I go for joy rides. At least I'll have the satisfaction having one less rebuilt electronic component on my car.
FWIW, I did clean the MAF with aerosol MAF cleaner, and I gave the throttle body a fair wipe down with intake cleaner before running the disconnect-test on the MAF. The throttle body and butterfly were pretty nasty. Probably should clean the IAC too while I'm playing parts-changer around the intake.
